He obviously likes the Curragh and is as clever as they come. He's a bit of an old rogue, and we tried a few things today putting a visor and a sheep-skin noseband on. He'd gone up 4lb for two seconds this year, and Chris gave him a great ride. If he hit him he would have stopped.

He's a progressive little sprinter and he is going the right way. As long as we have soft ground we'll continue with him. I still don't know how I didn't manage to win with him as a two-year-old. He's definitely sharpened up over the winter now. He's really learning how to sprint. The listed race at Cork next weekend could be an option. The owners would like to get him some black-type (he's a home bred).

He's not winning out of turn and deserves to get his head in front,. The ground seems to be the key to him as he loves to get his toe in. Chris said riding him today was like riding on good ground. He is what he is and that will do his confidence the world of good. Hopefully he'll give us a bit of fun next year and make into a right little sprinter.
