A winner over 1m4f at Dundalk at the last meeting before Christmas, the 5/2 favourite Unterberg followed up off a 5lb higher mark in the extended mile-and-a-quarter handicap.
Wed 31st Jan

Fri 03rd Feb
The 4/6 favourite Ezine made all to land the 7f fillies' maiden under Chris Hayes but it was a close run thing in the end.

I'm delighted. She's been finishing off her races really well but has been slow to break so I stepped her up in trip. Robbie (Colgan) had said to step her up and I think at that pace she was much more in her comfort zone. Billy was delighted with her and said he wouldn't be scared to step her up further again. Basically, I've been running her over the wrong distance!. She's a lovely filly. She's in the horses-in-training sale in Goffs and I'll try and get another couple of runs into her before she goes.

Dundalk Fri, 3rd Feb, 2023 (1st)
nothing has ever been wrong with her but she has just been unlucky not to have won a race. We weren't sure would she handle the surface so was I full of confidence, no. I ran three horses on Wednesday and they ran appallingly, so I wasn't full of confidence after how they went. She did that really well and Robbie (Colgan) said she liked the surface so I'll just have a look at the programme. I haven't thought beyond today.
