The fences are there to be jumped. We'll see how he comes out of this before deciding if we go for the two mile novice at Punchestown. Paul said the ground at Cheltenham was too tacky, and he got caught in it and lost his action. The ground suited him much better today.

He jumped brilliant and a strong run two miles seems to suit. He's really tough and stuck his head out. He did a nice bit of work on Tuesday over a mile and a half, and he actually worked alot better than he did before Christmas. He'll go for the Arkle at Cheltenham now and, looking further down the line, the Power Gold Cup at Fairyhouse is another probable target,.

I was a bit disappointed with him the last day at Fairyhouse but he jumped brilliant today. I always thought the world of him but did think he always wanted two and a half miles.

I thought he was a bit disappointing the last day (when left second in the Drinmore Chase at Fairyhouse) and he seemed to just get unnerved after he slipped into an early fence. He really should jump better than he does but at Fairyhouse, from going well, his run flattened out quite quickly. I haven't made my mind up whether or not he'll run over Christmas yet though and maybe the bad weather hindered him preparation for Fairyhouse too.

He just spotted a shadow in Galway approaching the fence and Paul (Carberry) said it was only when he went out for the next race and seen it at that fence that he worked out what had happened,. Davy said he'd be better over two-and-a-half and he would delay his challenge and come from behind. When he got to the front he was all over the place. The Drinmore is the plan now all being well. You hate to say any horse is a great jumper but he's very good in close or going long. He's a very nice horse.

I would hope he would be good enough to run at the top level. After all he beat some good horses there.

I think a lot of him and maybe his best run was when he was second to Mikael D'Haguenet at Navan. He may be better over a bit further and he should improve when he jumps fences. Paul felt he idled in front but when the other horse came to him he went on again. He won't be going to Cheltenham.
