he was a novice and I was going to let Jack (Kennedy) ride him but I have to say Michael (O’Leary) has full faith in Lisa and wanted Lisa to ride the horse. It was his pick and he wanted her to ride it as she’s lucky and he’s right!. The pressure was on last year when we had plenty runners and plenty fancied ones but this year we were hopeful more than confident.

he has been running well all summer and deserved to get his head in front. He was entitled to win it on form and hopefully now after getting his head in front it will give him a bit of confidence. Gordon just said today was the plan and we'll see after that.

That was grand, it was a bit of a surprise,. Jack said he did it well, he travelled and he jumped. There is probably a bit of improvement in him. I'd say he appreciated the better ground with his wind.

He made a mistake at the wrong time and it wasn't the strongest race in the world but it was grand to win with him. All his form is good but his wind isn't great and it is a big worry. I don't know if he'll go on real heavy ground during the winter but he has won a race now and chasing is his game. It's grand for Kevin (Sexton) to ride a winner too.

I gave him an awful ride the first day in Naas and we probably rushed him back a bit then to qualify for Cheltenham,. My pesky 7lb claiming cousin (David Mullins) beat me both days so I'm glad he wasn't riding against me today! . His work at home is spectacular and he would have won a lot easier today but he was hanging fire on his own.
