It's great to see the old horse coming back. He's had issues and it's hard to keep everything right with him. We let him off for a break a couple of months and the aim was to get him back for Laytown. I said to Andy 'do the best you can to get into the frame today' otherwise we might not have got into Laytown with balloting. He's a 48 horse today but he was 102 at his best. It's good to see him back to a bit of form as he's been a great old servant. He runs well on the beach and has been a little bit unlucky the last twice there. He jumped the water last year and the year before probably got there a little bit soon and pulled himself up a bit. Hopefully he'll go close there now.

He's been in great old form and we were disappointed he got beat on the beach. We thought he was a good thing there as he loves that surface, rattling off it,. It's grand to get him back winning again. He's been in right old form recently and we would have been disappointed if he had got beat. When he gets in that frame of mind he's very fast. He's just getting a little bit difficult in the stalls and sometimes he's just not getting away as well as he needs to for the sprints but he was good today. He had a nice draw and he was able to make use of it. Hopefully we'll keep him on the go for the winter. We just need to keep him sound and keep him well. Hopefully the handicapper is kind to him.

It cost Olly (Curtis, owner) a few pounds to get him back down to this mark but he's getting his confidence back. He was always a very strong traveller but wasn't picking up. He's in right old form at the minute. We'll let him freshen up a bit as he's had three quick runs. He'll keep going up until Christmas anyway.

We fancied the lad (Stamp Of Authority) in Listowel. Jamie Osborne stabled his horses with me and he was second there. It was a good result,. My Good Brother has been dropping down, he only got 3lbs for winning the last day. He'll probably get a bit more this time. He seems to be getting his confidence back, he's coming back to himself. If he's well enough he'll go to Dundalk on Friday week.

That was a long time coming and the two of them may go to Laytown,. He does plenty of work on the beach and loves it. There are two (suitable) races there, and hopefully he will get into the higher rated one. I thought a strong run five furlongs would suit her (Kiss The Stars) as she loves coming off a strong pace. She missed the break a bit after they were delayed in the stalls.

I told Colin to make as much use of him as he could. He is best when he doesn't have something in front of him as he tends to lug in behind horses and it is a job getting him out. He is tough and he is going the right way. The plan is to come back here for the Joe McGrath Handicap in a few weeks time.

He travelled seriously well. We've always thought plenty of him but he has been a bit disappointing. He's had issues with his muscles and we've had the acupuncturist working on him. He was inclined to get unbalanced and hang. He is a bit better on the all-weather than grass.

He did it well. We thought a lot of him early on. Joseph O'Brien rode him in a Fairyhouse maiden and he showed plenty of speed then. He then had muscle trouble but it was nice to see him show plenty of speed again there. Hopefully he won't get hammered in the handicap like the last time and if that's the case we'd like to think that there'd be another race in him around here. He only went over to Wolverhampton because there was only three races for him here before Christmas.
