The ground and the trip suited her. It's a long time since she won on the flat but she's entitled to that off her mark. We're going to mix it with her and she has a mark over fences of 109 as well. She's versatile and tough out. I'm only about ten minutes from the track so it's great to have a winner here. We've had a good bit of luck here over the years. Her owner Mick O’Neill is quite elderly but lives for racing and would love to be here. He comes to see her every week. He was offered a good bit for her when she won a maiden at Navan on her second run but he enjoys it too much to sell her.

She did (come home very well). She has been running on winter, heavy ground and they have done a lovely job here with the ground. She wouldn't handle any quicker than that. Obviously she has won on the flat so she is able to travel into a race. Danny (Hand) gave her a lovely ride there. He knows her well and schooled her a lot at home. It was nice for him to sit and bide his time and she has done it well in the end. I think she is best coming (on the outside) and beating tired horses. She was a very good flat horse rated in the 90s so she has that bit of speed and she does stay well. I did think she was in very good form. She ran on the flat 10 days ago and she just didn't stay a mile and a half on the flat. Colin (Keane) was very happy with her there that day and said back to a mile and two and she'd be back winning. I'm hoping that she'll be aimed at Galway.

It's nice to get one before next week when Willie and Gordon go to war!. I fancied her with the ground drying up. It's hard for those flat-bred mares when it's really heavy ground. She had a good run in Down Royal and I expected her to do something like that, it looked an ideal grade. Hopefully she'll progress and she'll mix it between the Flat and jumps. She's in at Limerick (on Saturday) but I doubt she'll get in as she's nine in the ballot. She was very highly rated on the flat after winning a Navan maiden and she ran alright in a Guineas trial. She loves jumping and is a genuine filly. Her owner (Michael O'Neill) is in the Canaries and he never misses a day, as he absolutely loves her. Hopefully he got to watch it.
