He’s a horse with any amount of ability. He’s had a few problems, but we seem to have ironed them out now and hopefully he can keep going. We’ve changed the tactics with him and he’s more relaxed. Denis is the man for that job and gets on very well with him. It’s hard to watch but you have to let him at it. Denis said they flew which probably suited him and he was able to stay on. He has loads of pace and stays the two miles very well. I’d say we’ll go for the Galway Hurdle now. That’s my biggest win and I’m from Kerry so it’s great to get it here.

It was his first run back but he runs well fresh and the nice ground helped. We'll keep him fresh now and keep him until Leopardstown in February now, for the Ladbrokes Hurdle. He should get enough for winning this to get in. His future lies over fences but we were late getting him back this season as he had a hiccup, so felt it was a bad time to be going chasing.

We've always liked him, he is a forward going type and it was 2m4f the last day and he was just collared on the run-in and we knew he'd improve. We were very confident coming here today and he has a gear. He is very good, I think he'd be better going the other way and hopefully dad can hold on to him now. We won this race ten years ago with The Shepherd King in the same colours.
