I nearly have to thank (handicapper) Gary O'Gorman for this win as he put him up 4lb for being third the other day so I was forced to run him today. I saw the ground was a little dead but I knew he'd like it. Cian gave him a super ride, he's lost his 7lb claim now. It took him a while to get rid of it. He was very good on him, very patient, so fair play to him. He's in Barney Curley’s race next week (at Bellewstown) so he might rock up there too. I don't know what weight he'll have to carry there but he's entered in it. If he doesn't run there he'll get a break. That's his sixth win of the year so he's done well. Last year we were going to bin him so it just goes to show you what some of them do, he's just turned around. He's a good fun horse and has been great craic for the lads (owners Mark and Gary Devlin and Joseph McCrory).

I would have given him away last September! We got a little bit of a wind job done on him at the end of the year and he's won twice at Dundalk and now twice on the grass so after this he's on overtime,. He's improving all the time. I have him in at Roscommon on Monday and also in a claimer at Tipperary on Tuesday. He'll definitely be going to one of those as I'd say the handicapper won't be too nice to him. He won't be in the 65 bracket for much longer. He's a fun horse and the owners are great supporters of mine.

That’s his third win this year. We got a wind job done on him earlier in the year and it made a big difference to him. He had slipped down to a nice mark and got plenty of confidence winning in Dundalk. We had him away the other day leading two-year-olds and he worked real well. If someone claims him they claim him, but he was just (well) weighted there and the draw (in stall three) helped. If he was drawn out in twelve I don’t think he’d have won. I think the draw there today is a key factor and the 7lb claim helped. Cian (MacRedmond) is a good kid.

He was 3lb well in as he got a 9lb rise the other day,. I have him in at Cork on Saturday and he'll be declared in the morning for it. He'll have a day or two on the beach now. He had a little bit of a wind problem last year and we got it sorted out. He has been difficult but he's turned a corner now and we'll keep rattling on with him while he's in that form. He is what he is and hopefully the handicapper won't be too hard on him but he's never too nice to you when you win two in a row.
