It’s nice to get the result today as all the Power family were coming here. The way the programme is after the Bold Lad this was the only race left for him and we ran for nine and a half grand. I’d always hoped he’d win a big one, but he comes up short in them. He’s good in this grade. He’ll go out in the paddock now and come back next year. The ease in the ground is a help to him.

The last day he ran like one that you'd say would come back here and win a maiden over six and that's what he's done,. It was a competitive maiden although I don't know how good they were. He's progressing with each run. I'm over the moon to get a winner for Sabena (Power). We had great luck at the start but haven't had much luck lately so I'm delighted to get a winner. His half-brother won a July Cup for me but he's not the colour of him. He is what he is, he's okay and hopefully he'll progress as he's raw. The handicapper gave Jon Riggens (stable-mate who beat him last time) 90 so he could get mid-80s but I honestly don't know. The problem with these maidens is that they all have ratings but in three months time a lot of those horses with high ratings will still be maidens. This track has been lucky to me this year, that's the fourth winner we've had, so we'll keep trying.
