it's a race I love to win as it's an excellent Group 1 and it always takes a very good horse to win it. I've been fortunate to win it with a few very good horses in the past and he's as good as any of them. He beat Found fair and square in the English Champion Stakes last year so there was no reason he couldn't beat her again. I'll speak to the owner but he might have the summer off now and we'll look to train him for the Irish Champion Stakes and the Arc. His next race will most likely be the Royal Whip as a prep for the Irish Champion Stakes. He has all the class to win an Arc and has won a Group race over a mile-and-a-half at Leopardstown so gets the trip well. He's a big horse and takes a run no matter what you do with him. Last year we took him to Windsor and he came back and won at Leopardstown - it's hard to get him 100 percent first time out. Today was an excellent renewal of the race and Found is an outstanding mare.

He's a class horse. He ran some excellent races in the spring and had a lovely summer break - maybe too good! . He needed the run in Windsor more than I thought. It was a trifle disappointing but the benefit was that it brought him on and gave me the idea to go further. He just struggled on the track at Windsor as it was a little bit sharp for him.

He did what you would expect him to do. He's a very good horse. He could go for a lot of those races that Famous Name ran in before, and in the second part of the year could have more serious challenges. He loves soft ground. Heâs a more relaxed horse this year than last year. Heâd never want firm ground. The Tattersalls Gold Cup could be considered if the ground was suitable.

It was a pleasing performance from him. He's very adaptable in that ground,. He'll probably come back here for the Amethyst Stakes (May 10th). He got a little bit tired in the last half furlong which I expected. He's up a good few kilos on last year but equally he has matured from last year. Hopefully he'll have a long and successful season. We'll look at races between a mile and a mile-and-a-quarter. He had a busy year last year and raced on very fast ground. He was a bit stiff and sore after the Irish Derby so we said we'd leave him off until next year.

I don't want to win any race that way but interference happened and I thought he was the best horse on the day. It was a very messy race and Pat was adamant that the interference cost him the race. He is a big, long-striding horse and after they quickened off the home bend he lost his hind end momentum. Pat did the right thing and gave him a few seconds to find his stride. I've been teaching him to settle and switch off. Today was the first time he was really asked to sprint, and it just took him a few strides to react. I'd say it's pretty definite that he will go to Epsom, and he certainly learned a lot today.
