What a broodmare, two black type horses from three foals. The ground was a concern as she was a little bit keen but I think she was idling a bit in front and there was more in the tank. I’d be hoping we might aim her at some good bumpers in the spring — the Dublin Racing Festival, Aintree and Punchestown as there is good prizemoney. That’s what I will be trying to steer Willie towards anyway!. She keeps improving. She has a lot to live up to but she is doing it at the moment. She seemed to be fine on the ground. That’s a lot different than winter soft but she handled it fine.

I went around thinking I don't want her to whip around at the starting tape or duck out at a doll or something stupid but it was very straightforward and she did it great. She is improving and we're hoping to get blacktype with her. She was sharper today, was more in my hands and I'd have preferred if she relaxed more but I think will continue to improve. Willie might want to go jumping now but I'd be hoping she would go for a Listed bumper. I don't think she'll jump fences so may we should stay bumpering this season and go hurdling next season - that's my argument anyway. She's not big but is wide and strong.

she's like her mother, quite small and short but she's a strong barrel of a mare. Both times down the bottom of the track she fell asleep with me. She lost a couple of lengths the first time, I didn't mind as I was going a gallop, but the second time I was having to slap her down the shoulder six or seven times, but once we got upsides horses she locked on. My only worry in the last furlong was that she was looking at everything and that she might jam on, but she won with lots in hand. She's not the flashiest at home but I think she's probably better than her work and I think there's more there in the tank, she's one that will keep giving. I don't know what the plan will be now, but it's fantastic to wear these colours. It's nice, after winning on one of Annie Power's (Mystical Power), to get one of Quevega's and we have one of Augusta Kate's coming along as well.
