We gave him a break after Leopardstown where we were a bit disappointed with him. He pulled hard that day and we said we’d drop him back to sprinting. Obviously that is his forte. He had to dig deep there today and he’s tough. I think he’ll improve a little bit as I haven’t been very hard on him. I gave him an easy time after Leopardstown. It’s great for the lads and at least they will be able to go to Royal Ascot now. He's entered in the Commonwealth Cup, and we might enter him for the Group 3 over seven over there. He handles cut in the ground but I worked him up the Curragh the other day and he travelled sweet on nice ground. They all tell me all-weather horses go well in Royal Ascot and his Dundalk run with Logo Hunter and Mooneista is rock-solid form now.

he's a nice horse, that's why we bought him (for new owner Gary Devlin), and there was a bit of pressure on. He'll go for a Guineas trial at Leopardstown now and has an entry in the English and the German Guineas, so he has a lot of options. He's entered in those big races and it's either that or Royal Ascot afterwards - that's the type of horse he is. Unfortunately we hadn't got him before the Irish Guineas closed. I'm not saying he's in love with the surface, and we were coming here tonight to see if he would settle. They didn't go fast but he settled beautifully. I think he will get the seven in the Guineas trial no problem and we'll see where we go from there. He moves well enough on nice ground. You don't know whether a horse will stay or not until you try him over the trip. I think he'll get the seven anyway, around Leopardstown, and then we'll make a decision what we'll do after that.

That's my first Curragh winner as usually if I have a good horse I stay away from the Curragh because the competition is so good but he justified coming here and was impressive. Colin (Keane) had done work on him during the week but had to ride for Mr O'Brien and he gave Gary advice. He won a barrier trial impressively and then I shouldn't have run him in Bellewstown (over a mile) and he won well in Down Royal. It's my first Group winner on the Flat. Shane Lyons advised me to go for this race and I doubt if he will run again this year. He's in the Foran race next week but I think we will leave that to someone else. He handled Dundalk well so he will have no problem on better ground. He's my own and I'd love to sell him. It would be great to sell him and stay in the yard. I wouldn't be surprised if he gets faster and faster and the dream could be something like a Commonwealth Cup.
