Rathbride Raven and Chris Hayes

Chris Hayes enjoyed a Sligo double, completed by Rathbride Raven in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Auction Maiden.
The daughter of Raven's Pass had shown just a modicum of promise in two outings at Fairyhouse, the most recent of which came only last Wednesday, but she felt no ill-effects from those exertions and Hayes made plenty of use of the 7-1 shot.
She still had plenty left in the tank when push came to shove in the final couple of furlongs and beat Gossip Central by a couple of lengths.
Pat Martin has his team in good order at present and his Gun Shoot bounced back to form under Hayes in the Guinness Claiming Race.
The 5-1 chance took the lead off Elusive Gent on the turn for home and wasn't for catching, passing the post with six lengths in hand.< Maontri (4-1) showed excellent resolution to back up a Leicester success in the Sligo GAA Raceday August 18th Fillies Handicap.
Matty Tynan's top-weight appeared beaten when Glimmer Of Peace set sail for home, but she battled back well and was three-quarters of a length ahead of the staying-on Perfect Fit at the line.< Lake George (5-1) was backed for the Sligo Rovers Raceday August 5th Handicap and the market support was justified.
Daniel Redmond got him to the front halfway down the straight and he showed a good attitude to stay there, beating Enigma Code by a length and three-quarters.
Favourite-backers had cause for celebration when I'll Be Your Clown prevailed in a thrilling finish to the Kilcawley Construction Sligo Rated Race.
The 5-4 market leader rallied gamely when pressed by Rock Critic and flashed past the post a short head to the good.
Maria Richert saddled her first winner when Excelli bounced back to form in the Audi Sligo Apprentice Handicap.
