Bobbi Grace and Leigh Roche come home convincing winners

It was hard not to be impressed with Bobbi Grace in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Median Auction Maiden at Navan.
Paul Deegan's 9-4 favourite had gone into many a notebook with a fifth-placed effort on her Curragh debut, and travelled sweetly for Leigh Roche.
Roche opted to go for home over a furlong out and Bobbi Grace responded superbly, easily putting daylight between herself and her rivals and recording a four and a quarter-length victory over Fit For The Job < The Big Cat pounced to land the Lynn Lodge Stud Maiden.
Declan McDonogh set sail for home early on the 11-2 chance, and that proved decisive, as Sindarban got going all too late and was a length and a quarter down at the line.< Teoleena could be called the winner of the Country And Western Evening Claiming Stakes from a long way out.
Travelling very easily for Kevin Manning on the home straight, Jim Bolger's 4-6 favourite swept to the lead over a furlong out and went on to beat Love The Feeling by three and a half lengths.
Ana O'Brien timed it just right on the James Nash-trained Pixie Spirit in the Navan Members Apprentice Handicap.
Settled off the pace in the early stages, the 3-1 chance found plenty for pressure close home, coming home a length and a quarter ahead of Above The Law < Kano's Ghirl caused a 25-1 upset under Niall McCullagh in the Johnny Cash Tribute Show After Racing Handicap.
Lee Smyth's charge swept to the front just inside the furlong pole and though Tom Dooley came from out of the clouds to mount a challenge, he was still half a length down at the line.< Strandfield Lady (15-2) showed no ill-effects 24 hours after taking third at Leopardstown when scoring gamely in the Come Racing 6th September Handicap under Connor King.
