< St Nicholas Abbey proved a disappointment on his return from a long lay-off as Unaccompanied took the geegeez.co.uk Alleged Stakes at the Curragh.
Aidan O'Brien's colt, running for the first time since he was beaten favourite in last season's 2000 Guineas, was held up by Seamie Heffernan but produced next to nothing when asked to get involved.
Unaccompanied (4-1), second in the Triumph Hurdle last time, went on inside the final quarter-mile and Pat Smullen kept her going strongly to win by two and a half lengths from Cilium
St Nicholas Abbey, sent off the 4-11 favourite, could fare no better than third behind Dermot Weld's filly.< Lolly For Dolly notched her second Group Three victory of the season when she followed up her Park Express Stakes win by landing the Big Bad Bob Gladness Stakes for the in-form Tommy Stack.
Wayne Lordan put the 9-2 chance into the firing line two furlongs out and she wore down British raider The Cheka close home to score by a short head, with Luisant four lengths further away.< Glor Na Mara went into the Anne Brewster Memorial Loughbrown Stakes with much the best form, having finished third to Frankel in the Dewhurst, but he was easy to back and faded away badly.
The Colm O'Donoghue-ridden Ballydoyle filly Sing Softly (7-2), a winner at the track last month, shared the lead for much of the way and ran on strongly to beat Defining Year by a length. She is bound for the Classics.
Ballydoyle struck again when newcomer Marksmanship (100-30) took the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Maiden under Joseph O'Brien, sweeping ahead a furlong out and holding Notable Graduate by two and a half lengths,
Experience told in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Maiden for juveniles when the only one to have had a run, the Patrick Prendergast-trained Gold Lace (3-1), edged out Danziger by a neck under Fran Berry.
Willie Mullins' Samain (6-4 favourite) completed a hat-trick in the Rockview (QR) INH Flat Race, sweeping ahead inside the final furlong to win by six lengths.
