Sixteen year old Ronan Whelan recorded his first winner this evening when winning The Come Racing Here Again Next Friday Handicap aboard 4/1 favourite Seachantach of Jim Bolger's.

Whelan who hails from Monasterevin in Co Kildare, is a graduate from the Pony Racing circuit, he had 95 winners in total and was twice pony rider champion. He joined the Bolger team back in November.
