We'llhavewan bagged a second successive win for owner/trainer/breeder Tim Townend and daughter jockey Jodie Townend today, landing Limerick's Newcastlewest Handicap Hurdle (div II) at 10/1.
The seven year old gelding was a 40/1 half-length winner at Thurles in March and today defied his 4lb penalty when scooting clear to win by seven lengths from Four Horsemen
Townend senior, whose son Paul Townend will be crowned Champion Jockey for the fifth time later this month, reported “it is great to get the second win with him and the way he stayed on in Thurles that the 2m5f would suit him. Jodie is riding great.”
