Danny Miley picked a good day to end a long losing run stretching back over 20 months as Forty Foot Tom landed the Racing Post All You Need For Irish Racing Handicap Chase at Leopardstown.
Adrian Heskin put up 2lb overweight at 10st on the nine-year-old gelding but it made no difference as the 10/1 chance kept on strongly on the run-in to hold Treat Yourself by over four lengths. Jacksonslady was a further three and a quarter lengths back in third.
Miley said, "He really wants further and better ground but he got away with the trip on that ground.
"Adrian gave him a great ride, and didn't get into a fight with the one in front early on."
Based near Ashford in Co. Wicklow, Miley added "Once you know this horse's ways he's a grand horse to have."
