The Johnny Murtagh trained Time To Reason made it third time lucky for the month of June when landing the Family Day At Fairyhouse July 10th Maiden at Fairyhouse today, under jockey Connor King.
The son of Kyllachy moved past Flowerhill Nova with a furlong to race and in the end scored a comfortable length and three parts win over that rival.
Murtagh later commented “he'd a nice run in Dundalk but had sore shins after it. His last couple of runs have been progressive, and it's nice to get a three-year-old maiden winner.
"It all worked out nicely, and Connor felt when he pulled him out he was always going to win. He's a solid, tough little horse and will go for handicaps. I'd like him to stay on 72!"
