Tell The Wind comes home strongest
The two horses for money in the Gary Wiltshire – 'Winning It Back' Handicap were Tell The Wind (7s this morning into 4/1) and Tarrsille (5s into 7/2 on track). They filled the first two placings with Tell The Wind prevailing by a neck under Chris Hayes.
A course and distance winner and runner-up here a fortnight ago, Tell The Wind came from a mid-field sit with a sustained challenge in the straight that eventually took her to victory near the finish.
Hayes received a copy of the book from which the race title derives and he remarked: "That's the best prize I've ever got apart from the cash of course!
"Seven furlongs is her trip and I know she only won a neck and a neck but she was never going to get beaten."
Tell The Wind is trained by Kevin Prendergast for his wife Lesley.
Meanwhile Wiltshire, "over to sample the delights of Dundalk," is a guest of a Bar One Racing and he'll be at Fairyhouse for the Dundalk firm's big sponsorship. He'll be at a betting forum before racing on Sunday. (AM & EM)
