Stormy Air emerged on top in the apprentice handicap to complete back-to-back successes at Cork.
The Denis Hogan-trained gelding had struck at the Mallow venue seven days ago and was back in the winners enclosure again this afternoon.
Killian Hennessy produced the 7/1 shot with a strong run inside the final furlong to lead 100 yards out.
He held the late run of Ishigati to secure a half length success in the seven-furlong contest.
The winning rider:- "They went a hard gallop, as they often do in apprentice races and I didn't want to hit the front too soon and he stayed at it well."
Regarding the months ahead he added "I got out my jumps license and I'll tip away around Cashel and Tipperary for the winter and hopefully pick up a few rides. I have no problem claiming 5lbs off bottom weight."
