Andrew Oliver's Duchess Ravenwaves (12/1 from 16/1) gave Christina Simpson her third career victory when readily asserting in division two of the apprentice handicap at Limerick.
The four-year-old filly travelled sweetly at the head of affairs and galloped on at the furlong pole to put four and three quarter lengths on runner-up Jake Peter the heavily backed 7/2 favourite. Mastermind was the same distance back in third at 4/1.
Andrew Oliver said: "She did it very well and we knew she'd be ok on that ground today as she ran very well over hurdles on testing ground at Listowel last month.
"She could go to Galway for a similar race next."
