The Follow Limerick Racecourse On Facebook Mares Handicap Chase was marred with Kilbarry Calling going wrong on the approach to the first fence up the back. She quickly came to a halt and the near two and a half miler saw Philip Enright complete a double on the day at Greenmount Park.
Enright, earlier successful aboard Whereyounow for Rodger Sweeney, joined forces with another Cork trainer to land the finale for his boss Robert Tyner on Simple Steps (10/1).
The successful grey chased the leaders, and she was fourth at the halfway stage.
The Ballymartle Syndicate owned daughter of Tikkanen then improved into a narrow lead before two out.
She was soon ridden and joined but kept on best to assert on the run-in from Ballybrowney Walk by two and a quarter lengths.
A. Ring, rider of Ilsnepasserontpas trained by P.J. Rothwell, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount made a noise and hung right.
