Theriverrunsdeep gained a second course and distance win over Dundalk's five-furlong distance today, landing the Lengthen The Odds With BetVictor Handicap for Tipperary trainer Seamus O'Donnell and jockey Paddy Harnett.
The five year old mare was an October winner under Seamus Heffernan and while beaten on one subsequent November outing, today went clear with a furlong to race and beat Beleaguerment by a length and a quarter.
Afterwards Harnett reported “I was drawn very wide the last day and was told to take my time as she usually jumps slow - she had won the time before doing that.
“She flew home the last day and I thought she might have won from a better draw.
“The extra furlong definitely made a massive difference. She won well and Seamus has done a right job with her. Hopefully there is another race or two in her if the handicapper is not too hard on her.”
