The layers knew all about the opening winner on the card at Navan, Metal Man and race two victor Scarlet And Dove made a similar splash in the market before delivering in the Dunmoe Mares Maiden Hurdle.

Those that supported the Gigginstown House Stud-owned and Joseph O’Brien-trained Scarlet And Dove from 100/30 into 5/4 favourite never had too many worries.

In demanding conditions, the Jeremy mare, in the hands of J J Slevin, had to work a bit to confirm things from the back of the last.

However she accomplished that feat well, by seven lengths from Flying Risk

“It was a good performance. The ground is quite tacky but she handled it well,” said Slevin.

“She's a big, solid galloping mare. She's a big scopey mare.

“Her first run had been good and then she disappointed the last day but she's back on track now I think.”

Under the provisions of Rule 90, the Stewards allowed Razzle Dazzle Love trained by Thomas Gibney, to run on receipt of the trainer's written assurance that the error identified in the certification of vaccinations would be corrected in accordance with Rule 91 within the timeframe specified.

J.G. Gilligan, rider of Let Her Flow trained by Paul John Gilligan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount pulled up having never travelled.

S.D. Torrens, rider of Loquacious Lady trained by Mrs Lorna Fowler, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung right.

T.N. Brett, rider of Lauderdale Lady trained by John Patrick Ryan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount jumped right throughout.
