Eddystone Rock recorded his third win of the season, as he over turned the odds-on favourite Laganore in the Meadowview Stables Race.
Successful at Wexford and Navan in May, the Johnny Murtagh trained four-year-old filled the runner-up spot on his last start at the Curragh.
Available at 7/1 last night, the Rock Of Gibraltar chestnut opened on-course at 3/1, before going off the 11/4 second favourite.
Settled in fifth by Niall McCullagh, the winner came with his challenge on the outer with over a furlong to race, and he soon swept to the front, going on to score comfortably by two and a quarter lengths.
Laganore, who was sent off the 4/5 favourite, had to settle for second under Seamie Heffernan for Tony Martin, while Misty Millie was a length back in third.
McCullagh said afterwards: "He handled the conditions well and enjoyed it. He has a turn of foot and is a progressive horse."
