Cash Or Casualty s brave bid for a hat-trick was thwarted by a rival on top-form as He's Got Rhythm convincingly landed the Crowne Plaza Hotel Race & Stay Handicap at Dundalk under Sam James.
This mile contest was marred by the serious injury sustained by King's Warrant (unfortunately had to be put-down) on the turn-in to the straight.
At the business end, front-runner Cash Or Casualty couldn't fend off the sweet-travelling He's Got Rhythm.
Once asked to go and win his race inside the last, the victor, trained by David Marnane and owned by his wife Melanie, went on to prevail by a length.
James commented: "He travelled real well. He was down in the handicap so with a nice light weight it almost felt like he was loose.
"He looks around a bit when in front so I wanted to leave it late. He did it nicely in the end." Shake The Bucket finished last here and he was found to be post race normal. Samples were taken for analysis. (MG & EM)
