The Eddie Lynam trained Moviesta gained his seventh career success when breaking through the quarter of a million euro mark at Dundalk today, landing the Racing Post Handicap under Robbie Downey.
The son of Hard Spun was a Group 2 winner for trainer Bryan Smart in 2013 and was today took his earnings to E259,873, with a two and three parts win over Go Kart
Eddie Lynam, “going into today he was rated 107 and just 14lb behind Caravaggio and, considering we will probably get 7lb for winning today, that shows the kind of mark he's at.
"Around here he is mustard - we only win one a year with him, and I'm hoping this year we can double it. Obviously the Listed (Mercury Stakes) race here will be on his agenda.
"We have to revive that form on the turf. He hasn't done it on the turf since he won the Renaissance which is a good while ago but was very impressive today, and I'd say when you analyse the times at the end of the day, he was the only one that did a winter time. He did a good time and broke 59 (seconds).
"Harry (Redknapp, football manager and Moviesta’s part-owner) loves his racing and always calls me. He's doing pre-season training at the moment, and is a lovely man to train for."
Lynam then quipped "Will (Salthouse, another part-owner) is the agent for Harry Kane - I'm trying to get him up to (Manchester) United!"
