- Quirky Moment comes good
Quirky Moment comes good
Catch The Moment described as “very quirky” by her trainer Denis Cullen, turned the 80-116 rated two miles handicap hurdle into something of a procession when making all under Mick Darcy.
The seven-year-old mare soon built up a sizeable lead and, despite a blunder two out, the 12/1 chance maintained a strong gallop in the straight to beat Banna Man (16/1) by seven and a half lengths. Madame Mado (9/1) was never a threat but kept on to take third another two lengths back, while the 9/2 favourite Mount Welcome finished fourth.
Cullen said, “I thought Mick would get along with him her as he's mad and she's mad! She's very quirky and is one of those horses that you just have to see on the day how she is. We've always thought she was a filly with alot of ability.”
