The 1/6 favourite Djakadam made all to take the opening race at Limerick this afternoon, the Limerick Races Congratulate World Hurdle Winner Solwhit 4yo Hurdle, for Ruby Walsh and Willie Mullins.
Mullins was completing a quick cross the card double after Security Breach took the opener at Wexford under Paul Townend.
Djakadam, who is a French bred son of Saint Des Saints, unseated Ruby Walsh on the run-in on his Irish debut at Thurles in January when battling out the finish with eventual winner Kilmainham.
He made amends last time out at Gowran when running out an easy winner of his maiden hurdle and he followed up in convincing style this afternoon.
He made all and went clear from the Barry Geraghty ridden Courage (5/1) on the run-in to record an easy seven lengths success.
Ruby Walsh said afterwards: "I’d imagine he'll step up in class now. He was bought to be a chaser and that’s what he will do."
