Billy Lee came in for a winning ride on newcomer Inca Prince in the juvenile auction maiden at Dundalk.
The Fast Company colt moved into contention down the centre of the track passing the two pole in this seven-furlong contest.
He hit the front at the final furlong and kept on best, when given the office, to secure the spoils by three quarters of a length at 9/1. Feeling Tip Top was beaten into second at 3/1 while Bears Hug grabbed third at 33/1.
Billy Lee said: “Unfortunately for Wayne (Lordan) he got a bad fall yesterday and might be out for a while but it was a nice spare to pick up.
“I rang Henry and he was confident that he's a nice horse, and he would run well. He had won a barrier trial here and that experience was a big help.
“I hadn't an ideal run around as I was caught four wide but this horse travelled beautifully all the way.
“As soon as I gave him a squeeze, just before the turn in, he came on the bridle but I sat for another few strides passing the two as I had loads of horse left under me.
“He's won well at the line and is a nice horse with a bright future hopefully.
“If I'd had a better trip around I'd probably have won three or four lengths.”
Inca Prince gave Henry de Bromhead an across-the-card double as he also struck in Listowel with Minella Times
