Point Lonsdale booked his ticket on Aidan O’Brien’s large travelling party to Royal Ascot in a couple of weeks when making an impressive debut in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF (C&G) Maiden at the Curragh.
The son of Australia was well-supported before racing and went off the 7/4 favourite for this seven-furlongs test.
Seamie Heffernan ’s mount took control from over a furlong out and went right away to score by five and a half lengths. Unconquerable took the runner-up spot, with Mannix half a length further back in third.
O’Brien said, “He was working very smart and we wanted to get him out as we felt he was a horse for the Chesham. That’s what we think of him.
“He shows everything at home. He travels, he quickens and relaxes - all the right stuff.”
