Paddy O Dee won his third race at Downpatrick and his sixth in all when turning the Visit toals.co.uk Handicap Hurdle into a procession under Mark Enright.
Enright (his third success on the eight-year-old) and Paddy O Dee strike up a formidable partnership as the victor travelled and hurdled well on the front end before sauntering up the hill from the back of the last to account for World Citizen by five and a half lengths.
Winning trainer Philip Rothwell said: "The little bit of good ground helped and he loves it here.
"Apart from the last day (course and distance success four weeks ago) he also won a chase here and it was a good display of jumping.
"It was probably an ordinary enough race and he got his own way.
"The drying ground probably didn't help Faanan Aldaar (third for the yard as favourite in the opener) but the winner (Un Beau Roman) is probably smart enough." (MG & EM)
