Runner-up in his first two chase starts at Downpatrick, the 5/2 favourite Majavango had no problems with the undulations of Tramore as he landed the Waterford Greenway Beginners Chase.
In front after four out, Darragh O'Keeffe's mount held a narrow advantage over Speed Gang when that one fell at the second-last. That simplified the winner's task and he came home fifteen length clear of Wild Caprice with another twenty lengths back to Bentham in third.
It was a double for O'Keeffe after Doyouthinkso in the second.
Winning trainer Tom Gibney said: “He’s done very little wrong since he went chasing and I’m thrilled for Fenian (Reilly, owner) a good supporter of mine to get that.
“He’s very solid over his jumps and will probably go into handicaps now.”
