O'Dwyer/O'Shea Double Up in Style
A 55/1 double for Conor O'Dwyer (the first of his training career) and Niki O'Shea was completed in spectacular style when Ar Aghaidh Leat landed a gamble (25s into 7s) in the UL Bohemians RFC Raceday Maiden Hurdle at Limerick.
In front five out, the twice bumper raced son of Saddlers' Hall, in the colours of Conor's wife, Audrey, led five out and he beat off Chicago Grey in determined fashion up the straight, prevailing by four lengths. Well-backed favourite, Hampshire Express (2s in the morning into 5/4) was a further seventeen lengths back in third.
O'Dwyer said: "The horse disappointed a bit in a bumper at Down Royal on St Stephen's Day but jumping is his forte. I thought he had an each-way chance here. Staying chasing will be his game."
O'Dwyer and O'Shea had earlier taken the opener with Uncle Tom Cobley (EM)
