Fightfortheroses justified favouritism in the mile and a half maiden at Naas and gave Aidan O'Brien a double on the card.
He looked to be vulnerable to the strong-travelling Crecerelle at the two marker but found plenty when asked for his effort racing to the final furlong.
It boiled down to a match with Crecerelle at the business end but Fighfortheroses saw it out best to score by a length and a quarter at even money.
Runner-up Crecerelle was a 5/1 shot. He was four lengths ahead of Leaderboard (13/2).
Jockey Donnacha O'Brien said: "The step up in trip suited. He's genuine and he stays well.
“He found plenty for a bit of pressure. He handles soft ground as well so he's versatile enough.
“He's no world beater but he's a grand horse and he tries hard.”
Aidan O'Brien earlier scored with Norway in race three.
