Danegeld powered clear in the closing stages to run out a convincing winner of the Red Mills Ladies Handicap Hurdle at Thurles.
Rochelle Murphy gave the 14/1 shot a well judged ride, producing her mount to lead before the final flight in the two-miler.
The John Morrison-trained ten-year-old soon asserted and went away on the run-in to record a 10-length win over Tohellortoconnacht
Danegeld was recording a third career success and his second over hurdles. The Danehill Dancer gelding had been well held at Clonmel last week having been second at Limerick on his previous outing.
The winning rider said:- "He was a bit disappointing on his last performance in Clonmel but did it very well today. They thought he was a small bit flat but it might have put him right for today and he stayed going and loved the ground.
"We jumped off at a good gallop, we steadied it up midway and wherever he was happy I was happy.
"That's my third winner, I'm based in Wexford with Daryl Deacon and we're busy away with plenty horses riding out.
"I started off as a professional but changed back amateur to ride a couple of my own in point to points - I'll stay at the point to points as that's where I'm happiest."
