Mullins & Supple begin at Fairyhouse
Danny Mullins begins his career in the jumping arena today when he takes the mount on Malande in the Bobbyjo Bistro Handicap Hurdle.
Dessie McDonogh trains this daughter of Beat Hollow for Jackie Bolger and Mullins said: "It's just something to keep me going during the winter. I'll see what mounts I can pick-up."
Malande was a landmark horse for young Mullins before, a former child star in the show-jumping ring. She was his first ride on the racecourse in a Gowran Park flat handicap in May 2008.
Meanwhile John Supple saddles his first runner over jumps in Ireland today. His Top Strategy takes part in the www.fairyhouseracecourse.ie Handicap Hurdle.
A brother to Gerry, Willie and Robbie, John has had a runner at Dundalk, Killcara Boy on November 11th. Top Strategy runs in the colours of Johnny Byrne's son, Nolan (nephew of Patsy). Supple is training at Feale View Stud, Coolaneelig, Abbeyfeale, Co. Kerry.
