Mr Boss Man (6/1) ran out a good winner of the opening Tipperary Water Maiden Hurdle at Ballinrobe under Roger Loughran.
The Beneficial gelding's most recent 'win,' might well have been in the charity race at Punchestown, where he ultimately finished second, but he came in here on the back of a third placing to a nice mare in the shape of Duckweed at Kilbeggan.
The Slevin family's charge, took over from Madoun at the second last before striding clear for an easy eight length success from well-backed favourite Shadagann
Trainer Frances Slevin said: "He did it well and the good ground helped him. He'll mix it between the flat and hurdles for the summer. My father, Camillus, owns him."
