Meydan regular Moran Gra got back to winning ways at Dundalk this evening, winning the Hibernia Steel Ltd Race for trainer Joanna Morgan and jockey Ronan Whelan.
The son of Rahy got the better of a tight three way battle inside the final furlong, narrowly defeating Banna Boirche and Vivacious Vivienne
Afterwards Morgan said “Moran Gra only landed back from Dubai on Wednesday evening and he is such a good traveller I'd say he could fly the plane if they were stuck!
“He is so relaxed but is only really a handicapper. Ronan was strong on him and the 5lbs claim made the difference. He ran well in Dubai but was handicapped out of it but is back to a mark of 100 now which he could win off. That's his first time running on the all-weather in Ireland and I knew he would like it as it wouldn't be as quick in Dubai.”
