Mighty Jeremy kicked away from a big field to land the spoils in the concluding handicap hurdle over and extended 2m3f.
He was another prominent racer to win on the card and Darragh O'Keeffe knew he had plenty of horse underneath him as he stacked the field and then kicked between the final two flights.
Nothing came out of the pack as Mighty Jeremy and O'Keeffe stretched their advantage in jumping the last. They turned the race into a procession in winning by 10 lengths at 5/1. Zeeband (17/2) won the race for minor honours and was a length and a-half in front of Jerk (12/1). Ferrum rounded out the placings in fourth at 16/1.
Trainer Liam O'Brien said: “He gave him a brilliant ride, he got an easy lead in front but he did everything perfect and I'm happy out with him.
“He was very consistent last year for us, we were a little bit disappointed the last couple of times but he's older and it's probably a little bit harder to get him fit.
“He was brilliant today and as long as the ground stays soft we'll keep running him. We might even give him a run over fences.
“He's a lovely horse to have and I'm delighted for the owner who is my landlord as well.”
Mighty Jeremy was last seen finishing fourth over a similar trip at Navan last month.
