Pat Flynn likes nothing better than to saddle a winner at the Curragh, and he rounded off the 2015 campaign at headquarters when Mademoiselle Penny (16/1) beat twenty six rivals in the Flat Begins March 20th At Curragh Handicap.
Bred by Bill Foley and his late wife Penny, and running in their familiar black and white silks, Mademoiselle Penny was partnered with Leigh Roche here for this mile and a half 47 to 65 event.
Roche made all on the daughter of Lawman, he asked for more and she went clear a furlong and a half out, crossing the line with two lengths in hand over Hatch Hall
"She did it well and she's getting stronger. She had a big field of horses behind her," said Flynn.
"I'd say she'll keep going at Dundalk. She definitely doesn't need a break."
