Lordan doubles up on Salariaq

Wayne Lordan rode another winner at Gowran Park as Salariaq gave him a double for the day.
Tommy Stack’s three-year-old filly held a lovely pitch in fourth on the inner and that passage allowed her to move smoothly into a share of the lead passing the two pole with Notnowsam
The latter was soon hard ridden to try and go on, but it was Salariaq who resolutely galloped home along the rail to win well at 9/4.
She beat Pershing (7/2) into second by two lengths. The 13/8 favourite Tirghra was a neck away in third.
Assistant trainer Fozzy Stack said: “It's grand to win a race with her. The owners have been patient as she's a big mare and has been growing.
“She's quite well-bred as she's out of a Group Three winning daughter of Salsabil. She's a filly that'll improve and we'll probably keep her for next year. Whether she runs again, we'll see, as she wants fast ground.”
