Local trainer provides an upset with Uncommited
Noel Hynds, a Loughbrickland-based trainer in Co Down, saddled his Uncommited to win the two mile six furlong handicap chase at Downpatrick by eight lengths from Ally's Bubble. Favourite New Town Bay was a further 14 lengths back in third.
Uncommited was second reserve in the race but got in with Lead Kindly Light and Marshim ruled out. The winner was trainer Hynds' third under rules and Jockey Matthew Bowes' 15th.
Trainer Hynds said: "I'm a farrier by trade. She will stay all day and we'll look at a beginners' chase next on good ground."
