Kilbane wins for Quinn
Clare based trainer Joe Quinn saddled his Kilbane River ridden by Tommy Treacy, to win the Templemore Handicap Chase at Thurles today.
The gelding needed a little luck to eventually get his head in front in the last strides to deny Giolla De by a head.
Afterwards Quinn stated "I'm delighted for Tommy (Treacy) as he missed a winner on the horse, through suspension, at Listowel in September."
He added "I wanted to give him a break after his last run but the owners wanted to run him again so it worked out well! He has been on the go since last March and deserves a break at some stage!"
