The John Murphy-trained Multiculture gained a deserved victory when claiming the concluding Lilac Rooms Maiden at Roscommon this evening.
Colin Keane completed a double on the card as he produced his mount to tackle front-runner Dalmatia at the furlong pole.
The Mount Nelson gelding got on top in the closing stages to record a length-and-three-quarters victory at odds of 5/2. Rainfall Radar the 11/8 favourite, could only keep on one-paced in the straight to finish fourth.
The winner had been placed on five previous occasions and was tackling maiden company again after competing in handicaps on his two most recent starts.
Keane had also struck in ten furlong maiden on the card on board Savannah Storm
