It wasn't difficult to see where Andrew Ring's "he winged his fences and gave me a great spin," comment came from, after his mount Katnap defied odds of 10/1 with a made most success in the six runner Jumps Finale At Fairyhouse Rated Novice Chase.
The five pound claimer added: "My only anxious moment was at the start where he stood and took a while to get going."
Sue Bramall 's winner, on the go since September 2011, and a maiden going into today's contest with twenty four runs to his name, asserted at the second last.
From there he stayed on well to beat the favourite, The Winkler by three and three parts of a length.
Second market-choice Fine Article let his backers down and eventually pulled up before three out.
The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Fine Article, trained by Paul Nolan, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be blowing hard post race.
R.M. Power, rider of Fine Article trained by Paul Nolan, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was pulled up having never travelled throughout this race and furthermore made a respiratory noise in running.
