Kateeva strikes again for Fogarty
Kateeva made it two wins in less than a week when taking the extended six furlong handicap at Listowel with Leigh Roche doing the steering.
The filly made all to score over six furlongs on the sand at Laytown last Thursday, and under a five pound penalty sprinted away from her rivals at the elbow to win by three-and-three-parts-of-a-length.
Successful trainer Joe Fogarty from Co Tipperary said: "If she got away quick we were just hoping she would get home.
"This was our Oaks! I hope the handicapper is generous to us." Sassaway at 14/1 took second place prize money while 8/1 shot Ucanchoose completed the placings a neck away.
