Ballydoyle colt Housesofparliament quickened impressively to open his account at Dundalk tonight in the 188BET Maiden.
Seamie Heffernan sent the 5/6 shot to the front with over a furlong and a half to run in the ten furlong contest and he soon settled matters.
The son of Galileo ran around slightly in the closing stages but was always well on top as he recorded a cosy five-length victory over Flying Bullet
The Aidan O'Brien-trained winner had found stable-mate Bhutan too strong when sent off favourite on his return to action at Leopardstown 12 days ago.
“He had a lovely run first time and we thought he had come forward,” said Heffernan.
“Hopefully the horses keep improving.”
When asked if the quicker surface suited he responded:-
“I think our horses are bred to be good and fast so the faster the ground the faster they go.”
