Hoopy survives Enquiry for Galway glory
Gordon Elliott’s Hoopy survived a Stewards’ Enquiry to win the Tote Jackpot Races 3 To 6 Handicap Hurdle at Galway today, providing the Co Meath trainer with his third winner in two days.
Hoopy, under Paul Carberry, edged left close home and slightly bumped runner-up King Of Redfield but the neck winning margin was enough to ‘keep’ the race, following the Enquiry.
Elloitt, on his way into the Enquiry, briefly mentioned “Hoopy had lost his way slightly over fences and I’m delighted for his owner John Earls, who along with Tom Howley (who himself owns yesterday’s winner Ask Jack) manufacture the Easyfix hurdles."
